An audit of Miramichi’s 2016 finances is favourable. Accountant Kent Ostridge of Grant Thornton praised how the city is handling money, but noted how much we’ve been getting in provincial equalization payments. He also pointed out next year’s property tax assessment freeze as something that won’t bring extra revenue.
