Economic development coordinator Bill Thompson told the Sussex Rotary Club that geo thermal at the old PCS mine site could have a positive impact for the Sussex and area economy.
Thompson added that part of the provincial governments economic strategy is marijuana grow ops, which the geo thermal potential of the old mine could support.
He also said that there is more agricultural potential in the area with newer in demand products that could be harvested.
