While election day is 8 days away, you don’t have to wait until then to vote. Elections Nova Scotia says you can cast your vote in advance at your local returning office, on any day except Sunday May 28th. The offices are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., but have extended hours this coming Thursday and Friday nights when they will be open until 8 p.m.
Thousands of ballots have been cast in advance of Nova Scotia’s election day, but party leaders won’t rest until the final polls are closed. Liberal leader Stephen McNeil promised to improve access to affordable housing. Tory leader Jamie Baillie wants to restore cuts to a police program. N-D-P leader Gary Burrill proposed an environmental plan that would give citizens the right to comment on policies.
