Liberals would expand START Apprenticeship Program

A new Stephen McNeil government would spend $8 million to expand the START Apprenticeship Program.  The Liberals would create more than 700 new opportunities, including investing $18.2 million over four years to help with skills training.  Increased support for women, aboriginals, African Nova Scotians, people with disabilities and new Canadians would be part of it, with employer incentives going from $10,000 to $30,000 for those who hire from those groups.
