Funding for public libraries is a local wish during this election. Cumberland Public Libraries got a one-time provincial grant for this year, but being able to maintain its current level of service beyond that is an issue. Chief Librarian Denise Corey told the Citizen-Record they had over 12,000 people at programs last year.
