Middleton incident

A Kings County man has been found not criminally responsible in connection with a weapons incident at the Middleton Hospital last fall.

Local Xpress reports 60 year old Mark Baltzer faced charges of possession of marijuana and possession of ammunition while prohibited. Baltzer was arrested after going to Soldiers Memorial Hospital twice, once with an arrow and knife then with a rifle.

Baltzer was having a manic episode and was found not criminally responsible.  The judge remanded him to the East Coast Forensic Hospital in Dartmouth where the Review Board will decide when he can be released.

In 2010, Baltzer was arrested asfter telling a ferry passenger he was going to Newfoundland to kill police.
