Miramichi city council is going ahead regarding a new Miramichi rec centre.
Council voted 7 -1 to go after funding from the provincial and federal taxpayers.
The Miramichi Multiplex would have one NHL-sized ice surface with 18 hundred seats, a three-lane walking track; an aquatics centre, a double gym; and more.
The price tag could range between 40 and 60 million dollars.
