Eggs Removed after Vehicle-Geese Collisions in Dieppe

A spat of vehicle collisions with Canada Geese prompted the Department of Transportation to remove 79 Geese eggs from inside the Dieppe Traffic Circle this weeks. CBC news reports the eggs were removed from 18 nests within the traffic circle on Thursday. There have been four collisions with geese reported in just the past month. The pond and surrounding area laying inside the traffic circle are a government protected wetland but the geese population nesting there has exploded in recent years.
