The Gallant government is asserting its support for the province’s softwood lumber industry. It’s also set up a task force to address the issue with next week’s decision on duties by the US that could negatively affect it. New Brunswick has been excluded from every agreement for the past 30 years, and is lobbying to keep it that way.
