A Valley woman has been handed a lifetime ban on owning animals after the SPCA seized 18 severely distressed cats from her home in New Minas. SPCA says they discovered the animals living in squalor after a tip from the public.Investigators say it took four months just to find and trap every animal living among the garbage and debris inside the home. The also discovered the remains of three dead animals. Treating the cats for everything from parasites to amputations is estimated to have cost the SPCA 11-thousand-dollars.
