Besides measles…now mumps is showing up in Halifax schools.
Cases have been reported at Shannon Park Elementary and Chebucto Heights Elementary. The Health Authority is warning schools to be on the lookout for people with symptoms in the coming weeks.
Regional Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Trevor Arnason, says it’s common for mumps show up now and then and that this doesn’t appear to be an outbreak.
