Man charged in funny money case

A Halifax man has been charged in connection with phoney American bills being passed around H-R-M recently.

There have been numerous reports of counterfeit American $20, $50 and $100 bills being passed at stores and financial institutions.

Police arrested a suspect on St. Margaret’s Bay Road Tuesday. Yesterday, 26 year old Jordan James Hirtle of Halifax was in court on five charges of possession of counterfeit money and five of using counterfeit money.
