Hockey Nova Scotia has announced its first-ever female hockey association. The Metro West Force Female Hockey Association will start play in the Halifax area next season, and be responsible for administering female hockey in communities formerly handled by the Halifax, Sackville, Chebucto, TASA and Bedford minor hockey associations.
