Dream home or nightmare home?

A defunct jailhouse in the province is being turned into a real house…a dream retirement home by an Ontario man.

Bill Steele bought the former jail in Dorchester and plans to move in once the deal closes. He says he may start a museum in part of the historic building. It was decommissioned over 20 years ago. Steele says he wanted someplace unconventional to retire.

Two infamous murderers were hanged and buried on the grounds…but that doesn’t both Steele. He says he’s always had a passion for “morbid stuff”.
