Court of Appeal prevents man from being jailed

The provincial Court of Appeal has again rejected jailing a man who didn’t get his meds while serving time previously.

Timothy Anthony Sappier of Tobique was given 30 months for conspiracy to traffic meth last year. He was released in December while appealing. Then he was accused of stealing from a convenience store…but the appeals court has ruled his mental illness made him delusional because he wasn’t treated with proper medications in prison.
