A couple from Cape Breton is facing animal cruelty charges after three dogs were seized from a property in Boulardrie earlier this month. The Nova Scotia SPCA say 28-year-old Tiffany Diflavio of Sydney and 30-year-old Brent MacSween of Boulardrie have been charged under the Animal Protection Act. The SPCA says one of the dogs seized from the property was severely emaciated, unable to walk and was suffering from seizures. That dog had to be put down.
