Roger Melanson is now chair of the nationwide Committee on Internal Trade. It’s comprised of federal, provincial and territorial ministers, and governs rules for trade across provincial boundaries. The approved-in-principle Canada Free Trade Agreement is expected to come into effect in the coming months.
