The Apple Blossom Festival parade is again seeking a location, after New Minas decided not to host the event. The interim president of the Apple Blossom Festival says she finds the issues around the location of the May parade this year even more disheartening since the Village of New Minas voted this week not to host the event this year after all. Festival spokeswoman Alxys Chamberlain told the Chronicle Herald that she found the allegations of malicious intent from Kentville Mayor Sandra Snow “extremely saddening” but despite that, discussions have been ongoing with Kentville CAO Mark Phillips behind the scenes to resolve the issues that prompted the board to seek a new location in the first place.
