A New Brunswick Family Plan summit was held today in Edmunston. It focused on improving access to primary and acute care, and Health Minister Victor Boudreau participated. Things discussed include managing chronic disease and providing better access to prescription drugs, and shifting the focus from hospital-based care to preventative intervention, primary health care and community care.
