Canadian frigates are undergoing a 50-million-dollar air conditioning upgrade. The CBC reports that National Defense quietly began upgrading the air-conditioning units after it discovered that new weapons and electronics systems could overheat. The new systems were installed during the Canadian Navy’s recent 4.3 billion dollar frigate refit program.
