Decision delayed on trial for Bathurst cops

A decision on whether two Bathurst police officers will go to trial for the fatal shooting of a man at the train station there early last year has been delayed until the New Year.

51 year old Michel Vienneau of Tracadie-Sheila was shot in his vehicle after he got off the train with his wife.

Constables Patrick Bulger and Mathieu Boudreau are facing manslaughter and other charges. The judge was supposed to hand down a decision today after a preliminary hearing earlier… but has postponed it until February 24th.
