Get yourt skates and tuques ready…the new outdoor ice skating oval in Dieppe should see its first skaters before Christmas, according to the Times and Transcript.
The concrete has been poured and crews are working on the refrigeration unit which will keep the ice cold from late fall until sometime in March.
The $1.4 million oval was approved earlier this year in a tight vote with Mayor Yvon LaPierre casting the deciding ballott. Some on council said the money could have been spent on other recreational priorities.
