A woman was rescued from a fire in her apartment in New Minas by an Eastlink crew yesterday.
New Minas fire chief Jim Redmond told Local Xpress the woman was halfway out a second floor window when fire fighters arrived. A nearby Eastlink crew offered to get her down with their bucket truck and did so safely.
The woman wasn’t injured. Cause of the kitchen fire is under investigation.
