Another Saint John church will be closing its doors for good, acording to CBC.
Bishop Robert Harris told parishioners at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church yesterday the church is half a million dollars in debt and it continues to grow by $50,000. The church attendance has been dropping for years and the diocese can no longer afford to keep it going. The church will close in February and parishioners can move to St. Ann’s church about 10 minutes away by car.
