The public got its first look at the future of Canada’s Navy at the Irving Shipyard in Halifax on Saturday. The shipyard held an open house where visitors were able to catch a glimpse of the HMCS Harry Dewolfe, currently under construction. The arctic patrol ship, built in three mage blacks, is being pieced together over the summer. The HMCS Harry Dewolfe, the first of six arctic patrol ships with a combined cost of 2.3 billion-dollars, is expected to be launched sometime in 2018.
