Two people arrested in North Sydney last weekend have been charged with a crime spree that stretched from Ontario to Newfoundland. The 33-year-old woman and 42-year-old man from Toronto were arrested after RCMP were tipped off that the pair were taking the ferry from Port Aux Basques to Nova Scotia on April 9th. RCMP say the pair were in possession of numerous stolen items including ID’s, wallets, a purse and credit cards. Police also seized their rental truck. The pair are facing a combined 55 charges. Both remain in custody and will next appear in court on April 18th.
