The province’s Graduate to Opportunity program is being enhanced to encourage more businesses to hire women, people with disabilities and beyond.  Employers will get another 10% subsidy in the first year for diverse and international hires, on top of the usual 25%.  The program encourages the hiring of recent grads.

The Department of Natural Resources is reminding you to Check Before You Burn.  The online BurnSafe map will indicate if it’s safe to burn domestic brush or campfires locally.  Wildfire risk season is on until October 15th, with the map being found at novascotia.ca/burnsafe.
