RCMP busted a man and woman in a raid on a home in the Strait area.
The Mounties seized Oxycodone and other drugs from the house in Port Hawkesbury and arrested a 60 year old man and 47 year old woman. Both were later released from custody and will be in court at a later date on drug charges.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons has reprimanded a former Glace Bay doctor.
Dr. David Soussou said he prescribed very large amounts of opioids to his patients as he was closing his practise because he was afraid they would be left without their painkillers as he was unable to find a replacement doctor.
Soussou is no longer licensed to practice in Nova Scotia and has left the province.
