Two people taking a walk discovered human remains in Sydney on Saturday morning. Cape Breton Regional Police say the remains were discovered around 10:30 am in a wooded area off Ash Street. Police processed the scene and have taken the body to Halifax for an autopsy scheduled for tomorrow. Police don’t yet know if foul play was involved or if the body was connected to any of the four men currently reported as missing in the Sydney area.

Three pock-marked roads from three maritime provinces are leading the pack with just six days left to vote on the worst road in Atlantic Canada. The annual contest by CAA Atlantic brings attention to roads in the region most in need of repair. As of right now Pine Glen Road in Riverview, New Brunswick is leading the vote for the worst road, followed by Mountain Road in Christmas Island Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, and Brae Harbour Road in Coleman PEI.
