Only two provinces and one territory didn’t see real GDP growth in 2016. Stats Can says Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories went down. Nova Scotia went up 0.9%, while the national number was 1.3%.

Cape Breton exercises
Starting today you may notice increased Air Force traffic in the sky over Cape Breton.
Coordinated Search and Rescue training exercises will be running from May 1st to the 5th, mainly in the Margaree Valley and southeast of Louisburg. The exercises, which will take place daily between 8am and 11pm, will involve squadron 413 from 14 Wing Greenwood; the Canadian Coast Guard, the Coast Guard Auxiliary; and Civil Air Search and Rescue.
