A search team scoured the Mira River yesterday looking for a missing recreational fisherman who reportedly fell overboard.
Water rescue units from local fire departments, ground search and rescue, police dive teams and even a helciopter searched the area yesterday after his boat was found Monday evening.
Police haven’t released his name but he is a well-known Albert Bridge man in his 50s.
A River Ryan man has been jailed in Thailand after confessing to money laundering and customs violations related to a bank holdup in Singapore last July.
28 year old David James Roach has been sentenced to 14 months behind bars in Thailand. There’s no extradition treaty between Thailand and Singapore. So when he’s released he could be deported back to Canada. If Singapore officials want him, they will have to work out a deal with Canadian officials.
