The RCMP have charged a man and woman with drug counts after a traffic stop on Highway 19 in Port Hastings.
A 40 year old man from Antigonish and a 40 year old woman from Port Hastings are facing cocaine trafficking charges.

Halifax train fatality
A 20 year old woman was killed yesterday when she was hit by a CN train on tracks near Rocky Lake Drive and the Bedford Highway. No name will be released.
The woman, who was walking along the tracks; was dead when emergency crews arrived on scene. The CN freight was about 3 kilometres long and couldn’t stop in time.
The investigation continues with the assistance of CN police and the Transportation Safety Board has been notified.
