The health authority has agreed to meet with Lionel Desmond’s immediate family next week.
The move comes almost six months after the former soldier klilled his family and himself in Upper Big Tracadie.
One of Desmond’s sisters, Chantel, confirms the authority will meet with them at St. Martha’s Hospital in Antigonish to review how the province’s health-care system dealt with Desmond before the killings.
Two men face a number of charges after an incident at the RCMP detachment in Liverpool.
A 46 year old man was arrested at a home in Milton. Two other men tried to get into the police cruiser and threatened the arrested man. Then when the Mounties got back to the detachment the pair were there as well trying to get at the arrested man and threatening to smash into the cruiser.
49 year old Kris Kelly and 45 year old David Troy Oickle are facing several charges including obstruction of justice, uttering threats and breaching probation.
