Sentencing for sexual assault

An Eskasoni man has been given four months in jail for sexually assaulting a friend.  Davis Joseph Prosper’s aboriginal status was taken into account for the sentencing.  He pleaded guilty to the August 2015 incident, which happened with a 16-year-old girl in her bedroom.

NSBI taking tenders for business export development program

Nova Scotia Business Inc. is calling for tenders to help create a unique business export development program.  The NSBI Scale-Up Lab will based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  Up to five tech-enabled, high-growth innovative Nova Scotia firms will have on-the-ground access to generate leads, develop markets and increase American sales.  Deadline for submissions is July 17th.
