Security Forum Wraps Up in Halifax

Canada’s defence minister will wrap up the Halifax International Security Forum today with a cross-cultural fitness session. Harjit Sajjan will lead participants on a five-kilometre run this morning. Later, Sajjan and the forum’s president will hold a press conference bringing the three-day convention to a close. For eight years, the forum has attracted leaders from around the world to discuss pressing foreign policy issues.

Man Charged After Cocaine and Cash Seized in Sydney

One man has been charged after search of a residence on Keltic Drive in Sydney turned up a substantial quantity of cocaine and cash on Friday. Police say they executed the search warrant around 4:30pm. 39-year-old Michael Basil Ranni of Sydney has been charged with possession to traffic cocaine along with two breaches of an undertaking. Ranni remains in custody and will appear in court on Monday.
