Body Discovered in Petitcodiac River in Moncton

A body was discovered in the Petitcodiac River in Moncton Sunday morning. Codiac RCMP told the CBC that body was discovered by a person walking along the riverfront trail around 8:15 this morning. RCMP and the Moncton Fire Department pulled the body from the water behind the Chateau Hotel in Moncton. The body has not been identified and no other details have been released.

Winter Storm Update (10am)

Much of the Maritimes is seeing its first winter storm of the season today, with some areas of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick expecting up to 15cm of snow and high winds. There have been a number of power outages reported across the province. In New Brunswick, a number of outages have been reported. 639 customers are without power in the Restigouche-Glencoe area. Smaller outages are also affecting a handful of homes in Kent, Central York – Sunbury and Victoria-Madawaska.
