The economic development plan was presented to the people of Sussex.
At the moment, Economic Development coordinater Bill Thompson is focusing on tourism; food production, and geothermal energy.
Overall, there are seven areas in which the economic devolpment plan will address.
Starting in September, Kings County and 14 local service districts that are part of Regional Service Commission 8; will move to a three-bag waste system, instead of the present wet/dry system.
Blue and green bags will be kept, and a clear bag will be added.
It’s believed that the three-bag collection system could save 200 thousand dollars a year in tipping fees.
