Starting in September, Kings County and 14 local service districts that are part of Regional Service Commission 8; will move to a three-bag waste system, instead of the present wet/dry system.
Blue and green bags will be kept, and a clear bag will be added.
It’s believed that the three-bag collection system could save 200 thousand dollars a year in tipping fees.
