Picadilly tax hit

Since the shut down of the Picadilly Mine by PotashCorp in January of 2016, a number of communities in the Region 8 Service Commission area have seen their property taxes go up.

Cardwell, where the mine was located; took the highest, with a 26 per cent increase.

Sussex had an increase of 18 per cent, Hampton at 11; and Apohaqui had a 13.6 per cent increase.

Sussex NHL All Star Game (with ticket info)

The NHL All Star Game is coming to the Sussex 8th Hussars Sports Centre on Sunday April 2nd.

Hockey legends such as Ray Bourque, Stephane Richer; and Ron Dugay will be there.

Tickets are just 20 dollars and a dressing room pass is only 50.
