The Region 8 Service Commission is being even more proactive this year to combat possible Trout Creek flooding. Staff will be out on its bank doing flood mapping and figuring out ways a regional effort can help, beyond each individual location.

Proposed Employment Standards Act changes affecting amateur athletes
The province is proposing regulatory changes to the Employment Standards Act that would affect amateur athletes. They would be exempt from vacations, paid public holidays, minimum wage and beyond. Public input is being taken until May 5th, you can learn more and weigh in here:
