Early French immersion schools announced

Early French immersion will be offered at 67 schools around the province in September, including six where immersion isn’t currently offered. Those six are Blackville, Nelson Rural, North & South Esk Elementary, Keswick Ridge, Minto Elementary Middle and Montgomery Street Elementary. Early French immersion will start in Grade 1, with a full list of schools offering it below.

Picadilly salt mine

With the recent announcement of road salt being supplied from Nova Scotia to New Brunswick there is some doubt about the Potash Corp salt mine.

Potash Corp told CJCW that at this time there is no plan to cease operations at the salt mine in Picadilly.

Right now, there are 34 miners employed at the Picadilly mine.
