Grand Manan bald eagle

A bald eagle from Grand Manan was recently rescued in Maine, after a fight with another eagle.

The eagle is 34 years old, older than any of its species ever documented in the state.

The bald eagle was banded in Grand Manan in 1983, when it was just an eaglet.

In the wild, eagles typically live to be 15 to 20 years.
