Kingston Farmer’s Market

If you’re up for a bit of a drive, the Kingston Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday from 8AM to 1PM.

Over 80 vendors are featured each Saturday, with only products from New Brunswick for sale.

Yip’s Hard Apple Cider is a popular product.

There are three styles – original, hopped and russet – which will soon be available at the NB Liquor store in Rothesay.

Saint John gay bar issue

Club Montreal, a gay bar in Saint John; hopes to get permission to have male Chip ‘n’ Dale dancers perform, but the city wants the province to reconsider.

Mayor Don Darling wrote a letter to the public safety minister.

His letter reads  “While standards attached to licenses issued by the Department of Public Safety prohibit full nudity and contact between performers and patrons it is also our understanding that activities may occur in the unlicensed areas of the facility.”

Darling added that adult entertainment is not permitted uptown, only in adult entertainment commercial zones.
