A Kings County man has been sentenced for sexually assaulting his mother’s boyfriend’s 13-year-old daughter. He’s in his twenties and can’t be named in order to protect the victim. He pleaded guilty to that and unrelated charges, and got 10 months in jail (less time served) and 18 months’ probation.

5-90 CJCW gets a new transmitter!
There’s been a large improvement to the broadcast sound of 5-90 CJCW!
CJCW Radio recently installed a new Nautel transmitter at its tower location in Wards Creek.
General Manager Lou McNamara says the new digital transmitter will give CJCW Radio better clarity of sound and covers a greater broadcast area which is a plus for our listeners and advertisers.
