The RCMP is amalgamating its dispatch operators to one office in Moncton…closing its Fredericton operation.
The force said it’s for operational efficiency, according to the Times and Transcript. The treasurer of the Codiac Regional Policing Authority, Paul Van Iderstine, said it’s because of the bilingual talent pool in Moncton. No timeline has been set…it’s still in the planning stages.
Becca Schofield Day will be held the third Saturday every September in New Brunswick.
MLAs voted unanimously to honour the Riverview teen for her kindness campaign Beccatoldmeto which has exploded around the world.
Her father Darren Schofield told the Times & Transcript the family is happy, humbled, and honoured for Becca to be recognized in this way…calling it absolutely incredible.
