Seven young people from the Sussex football team will play for Football New Brunswick in the under 15 and under 16 categories. They are Ethan Yerxa, Owen Dunfield; Samuel Smith, Delbert Smith; and Bailey Gibson for the under 15 squad. Connor Smith and Jagger Rogers will play for the under 16 team. The under 15 team will be in the Spalding Cup in Montreal beginning July 7th, while the under 16’s will be in the Maritime Football Series starting June 11th.
Carli Church, a Grade 11 student at SRHS; has been chosen to play on New Brunswick’s provincial basketball team at the upcoming Canada Games in Winnipeg in late July. Church has been playing basketball since Grade 3.
