Canada Day is the start of a summer of celebration in New Brunswick. Season events include Tall Ships visiting Caraquet, Miramichi and Saint John. Early New Brunswick Day celebrations happen each Saturday in July as Grand Bay-Westfield, Florenceville-Bristol, Miramichi and Dorchester host respectively starting next weekend. The official New Brunswick Day celebration is in Edmunston this year.

Engineer to determine whether four vacant Sussex properties should be demolished
Town council will hire a structural engineer to look at four abandoned properties. 47 and 49 Nelson Street, and 90 and 92 Magnolia Avenue might be torn down if they’re determined to be unsafe.
