Support for the proposed Ellen’s Law is being brought to Moncton council tonight. It would ensure drivers have to stay at least a metre away from cyclists on New Brunswick roads when passing. It’s named after Ellen Watters, who died last month outside Sussex when she was hit while riding.

Pedestrian fatally hit by vehicle in Hatfield Point
A pedestrian was killed by a vehicle last night in Hatfield Point. The 54-year-old man was hit around 6:30 while walking along Route 124. Sussex RCMP are investigating the cause.
