NB Millionaire Lotto Winner Plans to Retire

A Saint John, New Brunswick man says he plans to hang up his tool belt after winning a one million dollar lottery prize. John Funk won the Lotto 6-49 guaranteed prize draw on February 11th, becoming the second Atlantic Canadian guaranteed prize winner since January. Funk, who’s lived in Saint John for several years while doing contract work at the Irving Oil Refinery, says he plans to retire in the city with his long-time partner Connie. The couple had already found a piece of property and drawn the plans for a new home.
