Richard Valiquette has been convicted of criminal negligence causing the death of Gavin Adams. The 17-year-old’s body was found in a Saint John parking lot in December 2013 after a drug-related death. The 28-year-old Valiquette had previously pleaded guilty to making psychedelic drugs, and will have a sentencing hearing on the new conviction in April.

Lincoln Bridge damaged by dump truck
Another bridge in the province has been damaged because of an accident…forcing detours for regular users.
Drivers travelling between Oromocto and Fredericton through Lincoln now have to detour after a dump truck hit the Lincoln Bridge yesterday morning. The dump truck had its box up, smashed into the overhead girders and got stuck.
The bridge has been closed to all traffic until an engineering assessment is done.
